I will never rent from this particular location again. I have used UHaul for years, but this location was terrible. My appointment to pick up was at 10 AM. No one was there, it was all locked up. Finally someone started talking to us on a ring camera. I could barely understand him. My mover help (which was excellent) was there waiting with me. Finally the guy called me after I confirmed my driver's license via link, which I didn't want to do and had purposely chosen in person pick up for that reason. The guy calls me and gives me a code for the lock on the back of the truck, it didn't work. He gave me a different code, it didn't work. By this time, it was already 20 minutes after the time I was supposed to pick up the truck and we were pushing the time I needed to get to pick up the item I needed the truck for. Finally after putting him on speaker and my moving helpers trying to help with the lock the guy said he would come down. It was 5-10 minutes. After 10 minutes, I tried texting the number that had confirmed with me the night before. It was a lady, she said that it was a different code for the lock than the first two the guy gave me and she was definitely sure her code was correct, it didn't work. By this time, another couple that was supposed to pick up their truck and was waiting left because the guy still wasn't there. He finally showed up 15-20 minutes later. Then he was angry and beligerant to my moving helpers that work with UHaul. The mover finally had to tell the guy to stop being rude that I was the customer and to treat me better. It was so bad that when we went to return the truck the moving helper offered to come with me to protect me from the guy in the UHaul shop. I told him I would be fine. When I returned the truck the guy barely looked at me. I left the keys on the desk and he said I would receive a receipt via email. Worst experience with UHaul I have ever had. Also, I was supposed to have two furniture dollies. They didn't give me any and the girl I spoke with via text said it was because "there was a shortage" that I was never told about. Since we only had one dollie from the moving helpers, this delayed us finishing the move and cost me more money from the movers because it took us longer than planned waiting for the truck and then moving everything because we could only move one item at a time.

How U-Haul Reviews WorkCheck rental equipment to ensure everything works properly. AC did not work and since I picked it up in the morning i did not realize it wasn't working until it was loaded and was stuck driving it through the desert in 100-degree temps.
Larry KI didn't like that no one was there to assist me at the location... everything was handled over the phone and the unit didn't have the furniture pads I had rented I would rent a truck again, though... just not from that location
