I was told to be at the pick-up point at 4:45pm because they closed at 5. I got there at 4:30 and they were gone. I called the number and spoke to someone who got me set up over the phone. I was also told at that time that the 12 blankets I ordered were not in the truck, however someone was on their way back to get them for me. After waiting for almost 30 minutes, no one showed up and no one answered the phone when I called back. When I got in the truck, the mileage was higher than what I was told and the fuel level was lower than what I was told. I took a picture of the dash which included a lit "Check Engine" light.

Melvin RUpon returnal of the equipment, no one was onsite. They've got two locations, but not enough people to staff both properly.
jason rI rented a truck from this location on July 3, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing from beginning to end. The pickup process was frustrating. The location was advertised as being open, but when I arrived it was closed. As a result, I had to drive to a different U-Haul location just to pick up the moving blankets I had reserved. The truck itself also had several significant maintenance issues. The air conditioning did not work at all, which made driving in the July heat very uncomfortable. The passenger-side windshield wiper was completely missing, and someone had simply wrapped tape around the exposed metal arm to keep it from scratching the windshield. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) also indicated that a tire had low pressure. When I asked an employee at the second location about it, I was told that because U-Haul changes tires so frequently, the TPMS is often not recalibrated. That explanation did little to inspire confidence in the vehicle's maintenance. In addition, the truck's cab was dirty upon pickup. Returning the truck was equally confusing. While I was using the U-Haul app to complete the return process, someone arrived in a truck and asked if I needed help. I explained that I was following the app because the store was closed. He simply told me to leave the key and go home. However, when I attempted to report the vehicle's issues in the app, it would not allow me to complete the return unless I selected "No Issues," preventing me from accurately documenting the truck's condition. Overall, this was one of the worst rental experiences I have had. Between the poorly maintained vehicle, inaccurate business hours, the need to visit multiple locations, and the inability to properly report problems during the return process, the experience fell well below what I expect from U-Haul. What surprised me most is that, based on their online reviews, this location appears to rent a large number of trucks despite these ongoing issues. I hope U-Haul will address these concerns so future customers do not have a similar experience. I do not plan to rent from this location again.
