After hours drop off through the app was easy to do.
Douglas FThe onboarding remotely was a nightmare. The app froze, I wasn't able to complete the process that way, I ended up having to call U-Haul's 800-number. The person with whom I spoke on the phone was marginally helpful without extending herself or doing anything extra. The cargo box was clean, the cab was except for the smell of cigarettes inside. Then I discovered why, there was a snubbed out cigarette on the tray in the middle of the top of the dashboard. When I returned the truck I did so with the cigarette removed and the top of the dashboard, and the inside of the cab wiped down. I would recommend the location, where the truck actually was. The people here, at the local site are helpful. However, when I returned the truck, the local office was closed so again I tried to handle the return online, unsuccessfully, and ended up having to call the 800-number again. I would not recommend trying to rent a U-Haul remotely. I'll never do that again and I'm not a Luddite. I worked for 12 years as the IT guy in a law firm. U-Haul needs to work on it's technology. It's an infant in a grown-up world. Overall, not a great experience.
Paul DPick up location (Ridgeland) put wrong number of the trailer on the contract. So even though I returned the trailer to the correct location at the correct time, the Uhaul system said I didn’t. I got an extra charge for wrong drop off location. Drop off location (Rebel RV Park Batesville) had to figure out what happened. They have been very helpful figuring out what happened. However, I am still awaiting reimbursement for the extra charge.
lee wPerson servicing the location was great but Uhaul the company is horrific. I’m mean really bad. Made the reservation over a month out one of the locations on Uhaul’s website. Called the day before to confirm and they told me they don’t offer Uhauls. I told them they were an option on Uhaul’s official site and they said they have been requesting to be removed for months. So I moved location to Ridgeland site. They did not have the two dollys I reserved.
