I initially set this reservation up as mobile pick up, since it was to start at 5pm, which is closing time for the business. However, I was unable to use to mobile pick up because the owner/rep did not complete the request and leave a key when at least 2 hour notice before pick up was provided. Luckily, someone from the business was outside and around back working for a separate part of the business and was able to handle the reservation. If he hadn’t stayed to work on something else, I would have not been able to get the truck I needed.

Disappointed customer. Don't get me wrong but, I think that U Haul could do better. When I was setting up my reservation at 1525 Putt Putt Pl, Charlottesville, Va. I was told that they did not have a 10' Van available at this location but, they setup a reservation at Z Auto 8426 Seminole Trail, Ruckersville, Va. 11.8 miles north of the Putt Putt Pl. So, I had to drive and extra 23.6 miles with the van because the location for moving was closer to the Putt Putt Pl, location. When I returned the van in Vineland, NJ 2290 S Delesa Dr. I was charged $21.00 plus tax for going 21 miles over my, total milage. Yes, that was part of the contract but let's be honest, U Haul offered me a limited time free upgrade to a 20' truck that I didn't need. Plus 1-month free storage for one way trip. My thought is that U Haul could have taken off the $21.00 plus tax or even offered to give me one month free on my currently rented small 5 x10 storage unit. About $77.00. I have been a customer for over 2 years with U Haul. At least U Haul could do to improve customer service is offer a senior discount.

Katharine NYou all left me with an incredibly dirty truck, the inside was covered with dog hair. Now i have to pay extra money to clean my furniture. The link to send the initial pictures never worked either. This was a very bad experience overall and I will very likely consider other companies for my next move
