Less than 30 minutes before my pick-up time, I got an email saying that UHaul changed my pick-up location to a place much further away and also changed the vehicle type. Also, as I was the one who was moving and made the UHaul reservation I had my lease and passport to submit as 'meaningful assurance.' But I do not drive, so I added my partner as the driver in the reservation submission. . During pick-up I provided my partner's headshot and license information, and unfortunately, my lease and passport was not accepted as valid forms of meaningful assurance, because I was not going to be the one driving. UHaul support said their system could not verify more than one person. It took a bit to track down two people in my phonebook last minute so that they could verify my identify in a phone call with UHaul. The whole process ate up an hour into my reservation with UHaul, which UHaul support did extend for me as a result, but it would have also been helpful in the online reservation form when I was adding my partner as the driver or in the reservation confirmation email that it was stated that the two forms of supporting documentation needed to be of my partner's.
