I have been a customer for over 30 years and have always had a great experience with everyone at U-Haul. This time started okay; I rented a truck online with no problem. The purpose was to take some furniture from Houston to Austin, so I decided to save money; I would drop the truck off in Austin on the same day instead of keeping it over the weekend and returning it to my home store. I called in to make the change, and the service rep told me that if I dropped it off in Austin, it would be $400, and if I brought it back, it would be $200. We went over this for several minutes, and I decided to bring it back. When I dropped it off, my card was charged $780?? I called back to see what the deal was, and the manager said she would review my call with their staff and call me back. She never called me back. My only recourse is not to use them for a while. Not happy because I've always liked this company.
