I really appreciated being able to make the reservation and do most of it online. Prior to settling on U-Haul I was calling around just to get prices and many of my calls went unanswered. After the reservation was made I went directly to the office and it was a quick and easy transaction.
Bethany B. | First ImpressionsMy only grip on the communications regarding the move-in relates to the check-in process. There was no information on the preparatory emails about checking in. While there was information on the outside of the facility itself, it was a little overwhelming and there are 3 identical keypads, all of which take the same code, but only 1 of which you have to use first ONLY to check in. That was nowhere in the email comms, which would have been helpful. Other than that: Everything was fantastic. Thank you!

Patrick F. | First ImpressionsThe final walk through with the manager. Where I paid an amount to grab what I wanted within 24 hours. That was the nicest they were. Otherwise I left because they made it feel like a prison. Staff always there. One hour limits. They have cameras for Pete's sake. And they are too quick to call the police. I never signed up to pay a one hour daily monthly fee. I had a friend that got evicted. Very bad experience. I would not ever rent there again. Why not hire an armed guard. That's how people feel there. With your supposed time limit request and extra security. Everyone should have a reasonable expectation of privacy. Especially if they aren't there consecutive days in a row. If homeless. Who cares. You got cameras all over. Let them be. As long as not consecutive days. Or if people Wana dumpster dive. Let them. They do because of reasons. Did you know the eau Claire police are required to document where homeless people frequent. I hope that wasn't why ya had the extra cops etc. That was the worst business decision u made. I don't know anybody but maybe the cops that liked it. Aren't cameras enough. Let them do there own job. Get warrants. Old fashioned police work. Not jail via U-Haul. My princess you made feel very unwelcome. But people have addictions. Don't be so quick to throw away someone's freedom. Because jail is not treatment. At least maybe you saved a life for the night by looking the other way in a heated storage unit. Not consecutive. A difference. Think about people. Not being the police in disguise when you have cameras. Too much big brother. No thanks. I'll never recommend U-Haul storeage to anyone. I do give the manager a compliment. Only when she said ...when she was a kid they lost all her family stuff in storeage. Probably the same people you rent to but first to call police. That's my two cents but it's the truth in my perspective. That was the only time she seemed real and caring. I saw she hurt as a kid when she talked. I related too. But too much security....no thanks

The only feedback I have was that some of the exterior garage door motion detectors weren't working when I moved out but we were able to use the manual buttons. Loved having access to that heated space for truck loading.

Heidi P. | First Impressions#5 above. The facility was clean... However, in the maintenance category, we had an issue with the locker door not staying up in the open position as needed, (locker 2105). I reported it to staff and they responded immediately, attempting to rectify the issue. Unfortunately, it was not resolved. A second issue reported and unresolved is that the slide lock bar is extremely tight; difficult to open; painful on the fingers, especially when opening. .
