My first encounter with the Jackson office, first time customer was around 2023 or before but for certain 2 years. Kim the manager, started off being very nice at that time, but fast-forward to 2025, for some unknown reason, I started to notice a change in how I, as a customer was treated, though storage was always properly paid. I noticed once I was there in early 2025 to make a payment, standing right at the window, and she never once asked " can I help you" She continued with her personal phone call which involved a rental, yet, it was clear that this someone was someone she knew not a random customer, as it was too personal and friendly, the conversation continued without a " I will be with you shortly nor any greeting" not even a glance up though I'm looking directly at her. I wrote my storage number down and attached my cash and placed it on the desk and walked out, as I was on my lunch break. I very seldom visited the storage, as it was no need ,being it's there to store. It was broken into twice. The first, I was notified by her, yet the last occurrence when I reported it, which was in August, on a Friday. I was treated as if I was the corporate of steeling my own belongings or that I was lying, which I had no reason of either. I was told no one else had reported anything missing. I even called the police because it was on a Friday afternoon when I visited and noted the lock was off. I had several items missing, boxes torn open so, if I rarely visit how would I know my lock was off if I didn't get the notification. You intrust that the business would notify one if anything happened or is needed. When it was reported I was told by Kim that she had phoned me earlier in August to inform me that my storage lock had been off for some time though I didn't get that call, no voicemail, no record of this. She was adamant that I did. I checked my phone records for the entire month and had no record of this call. Also, when this happened I called them, though they were closed, immediately left a couple of messages and not once did I receive a return call. I had to call them a 2nd, on Sat. and third on Monday, again which is when I was treated like a person whose business wasn't wanted nor appreciated. I was told by Kim and the brother that they viewed the cameras and nothing was noted. Ok that's not my problem what's not on the camera. I'm telling you what's no longer in my storage and it's been broken into yet I'm getting the most disrespectful response as if I'm making this all up and to mention of the years I've been there this is the first time I reported finding this myself. I contined to hear nothing was on camera and no one else reported anything, yet I have items missing with empty boxes, storage bin laying open within the storage. I spoke to a high ranked deputy at the police department who advised me to just get my things out and swallow the loss because I didn't have rental insurance. The moral to it all wasn't more so about the items, but about how I was treated with the utmost disrespect without any accountability of being a long time, paying customer. It was clear that I did not matter as a customer and my service as a customer was not wanted. So I took the deputy advice and moved all my things out and assured I had a witness along with me at that time. I'm a healthcare worker and pride myself on treating people well no matter who they are. I will certainly take my business elsewhere in the future.
