To whom, it may concern ( upper management preferably): An extremely long story, made short: After eight hour day of heavy lifting of furniture and appliances, thereafter, I had very tight schedule to move my own personal household goods from on side of the island to the opposite side (2 hours between the two). The General Mngr, at the Kailua-Kona facility, rented me a truck shorter, then what I initially desired, which in turn I had to make work. He then persuaded me to rent a storage unit (10x10) with the company thru efficiency and convenience that was smaller than the unit (10×15) I would be transferring household goods from. Again, needing this move to happen, I had to make due / made it work, having 1.5 bedroom of content. This night time evolution involves a 2hr drive up & back, work at a breakneck speed before the previous storage unit closes at 10:00pm (having w/15mins to spare, I did it)...I arrive back at initial starting point of the island @ 12:00am (Aug 1st.). I open my assigned U-Haul unit and angrily it's actually a 8x8, with the door opening being the actual width of my fingertips to my armpit. At this point I am hotter than a firecracker. I can't even put one container of my weighted possessions into this shoebox of a unit. So I shut everything down, and I go back the U-Haul office and I waited there overnight, eagerly anticipating a heated confrontation in the morning. Arguably, the extent of mental anguish seemingly cannot be quantified, as it is, immensely felt. Was this a joke? Surely, this General Mngr. knows his inventory, right? Nevertheless, straight-faced & flatfooted, said the unit was what I needed, when it was woefully all together different. Extremely laughable. What a semi-retarded look on his face. As he profoundly & perfusely apologized, he had nothing to offer me (a larger unit or rental for free) in the way of repairing the damage that he, himself, had created. Consequently, I'm stuck with a whole truck full of personal goods, forced to drive around the island looking for a storage unit, at the size needed, in a location that's safe & convenient, at the reasonable price point agreed upon by U-Haul (all the while being charged for the price of the truck, yet another day, and the expensive gas that it consumes). Quantifiable Solution: i am respectfully requesting that I have these rental days for free. Truly, that will alleviate the mental migraine, and cleanse my palate of the unsavory aftertaste of this whole experience out of my mouth.

marshall k | Overall ExperienceMoving out was a breeze. Xylor Medina made it so. I told him I left it clean and am proud to say that he responded: "I don't have to go look. I trust you." He has been helpful to me the entire time I rented there. I am only leaving because the cost of living is soaring & my income remains the same. If things change however, I would be happy to rent at U-Haul again. I thank everybody there, -- Aloha,

MICHELLE G | First ImpressionsThe storage facility is right next to the homeless shelter. I have often observed homeless hanging out outside attempting to get in. Also, they don't care about any customer loyalty at all. Over the past year, I spent over twelve hundred dollars in just truck rentals. I had just got done moving and was five days late on my storage payment. I needed to complete a carpentry job that day and asked if I could please retrieve one of my tools. They would not let me access my unit. I would have kept the unit, but I did not like the way they treated customers that spent over a thousand dollars in the store. My storage payment was only $75. I told them I would pay it monday but they didn't care. So that saturday, instead of finishing my carpentry job, I had to run around town doing instacart so that I could get access to my unit to retrieve my tool. I was then behind on the job because of this. I tried to call the manager and ask for permission but he never returned my calls or text messages. This uhaul is managed very poorly, and the storage facility is in danger because the homeless, keep trying to break into it

STEPHEN M | First ImpressionsThe inly issue I had with this U Haul storage in Kailua Kona was the parking for my vehicle when I came to store or remove items to & from the locker. There were so many non storage customer parked car that I had to park out of the way from my easy access. Your parking spots needs to be protected for your customer's use.
