When the storage unit had to evacuated of all stored items, we chose to rent a Uhaul van and intermittent kept the possessions in the van. The volume was reduced by removing items from the boxes and discard the boxes on site in the storage bin. It was said to fold the boxes. With the van the empty boxes were taken to the on-site waste bin. Being slightly walking impaired the boxes were lined up and flattened by driving over them. During one of these short maneuvers incidentally the right side rear view mirror touched one of the other storage units and the mirror broke out of its mount but no glass was broken nor scratched. At the check-out of the van the insurance was opted-in and checked to cover eventual damage. The damage that occurred to the van took place in the morning hours and in the dark of night and was accidental. Possibly an accident report should be rendered about the damage and how it occurred without involvement of another vehicle. Thank you for your time spent in reading this short report.
