I do not take it lightly writing a non satisfactory review. The young lady that worked with me (Kayla),?during the transfer was polite and even offered to help me move my items to a new storage unit. I wanted to relocate because my unit 381was isolated. I was not comfortable and was looking for a unit more visible. I was not informed until after I loaded everything on the truck, cleaned out the unit that the money I had already paid was not pro-rated and the 500s unit was not available . Additionally, the unit I was told would be available, apparently a “trespasser “, had added a lock on it and the available unit cost me $50 more per month. This was a disappointing experience. While the manager explained everything after the fact, this was my third time at this location to make my transfer in the past 7 days, but I was not informed about the 48 hours notice as the idea time to move my belongings to a different unit. The option was for me to unload the truck, put my items back in my previous unit and wait for the availability of another more visible unit. This was an unreasonable request since I had already paid for the truck, and my items were in the truck. This was an unreasonable expectation. I knew the cost for the new unit would increase, but not $50 more per month. The manager laid out the facts, and yes, I was disappointed. I mentioned that my initial visit was on Friday during the auction and the manager at that time told me to come back, and the unit in the 500s would be available. I have been a great customer since I secured the previous unit and since no one bothered to tell me about the 48 hours notice until after the fact it would have been helpful if some type of accommodation could have been offered. There lies the disappointment in overall customer satisfaction, a lack of complete transparency, and not educating the customer. Having the information upfront would have allowed me to make an informed decision, without spending extra money. I do however appreciate the team member, Kayla who swept out the new unit so that I put my items in there.
