Honestly I felt taken, I rented online and was not aware I would be charged $40 more than the initial price for “fees” when I got my keys. When I asked about it I was given a “well it’s the U-Haul website and it’s not accurate”, I’ve rented a storage unit before and this was absolutely not my experience. I was desperate due to moving and needing a unit for items we couldn’t fit in our storage pods so although it seemed steep for such a small unit I went ahead and did it. Overall the place is run down, the unit we had had a broken door. It hung down and we hit our head on it unless we ducked down low. If you hit it it would close on you, which was also scary. It fell on my husbands back and hurt him. Overall I have regrets renting this unit but again we were desperate and I’m guessing we are the people they take advantage of. I let the office know about the door when I called to make sure they got the key and was brushed off again. Only thing that was a positive is that it seemed secure and we weren’t worried our belongings would be stolen.
