My overall experience was great. However when I did want to pay for an extra month when I first rented, I was told no. I couldn't Then the second month after the free month rolled around and I was without income, which initially started the lack of payments, otherwise two months would have been taken care of initially. Then I was evicted from my apartment unlawfully, lost my new business and was living in my car so I was unable to even remotely negotiate a buy out fee, which I would have gladly done because I had well. over $4000 of things in my unit. The staff was accommodating. I stated several times I was homeless now and could not get my things even if I wanted to as I had nowhere to put them and did not know anyone in St. John's. Even though I attempted to tell them this and even considered doing this and then selling things straight from the storage. Nonetheless it all had to go to auction. I lost much of my personal stuff but it doesn't matter as I am still homeless and you can thank the liberal governments for their ridiculous policies that allow drug traffickcers and users to stay in units next to normal people who are trying to do the best they can. I got evicted and the drug dealers could stay. That's a liberal government. I do appreciate them trying to find a settlement. That is key when someone is losing their things and I think its a brilliant method and way to treat people with respect and humanity and recognize they could be in a difficult financial situation, so keep doing that. I would have said yes but I had not home or anywhere to bring my things. So thank you.

Ingrid A | Overall ExperienceDuring the transitionary time, which was sometimes chaotic, your front staff personnel (as well as your call centre people) were patient, accommodating and extremely helpful. During several of my on site visits, trying to pack, prepare and choose a storage unit - I was always met with eager and helpful staff. In particular, on my last visit - when there was a mix up with my move in date - Rob I. on the front desk was extremely helpful. I will recommend U-Haul to everyone who needs storage and/or packing materials.

Michel D | Overall ExperienceThe unit we rented had a leaky roof which water damaged all our stored belongings. The interior ceiling had a plastic lining that was hanging down with water. Your insurance company won't respond either. It would be almost as good to store items outside.
