On move out day we got stuck in the elevator. We were stuck in there for 20 to 30 minutes. Had to call the fire department to come out and everything while we were in there killing time. We noticed the safety evaluation of the elevator expired 2 months ago. This is a serious problem. You cannot run a business and not certify the safety of your elevators. The kids who helped us out that were working that day were super nice and apologetic. I asked them to call their manager to see if we couldn't get a refund for the U-Haul we rented due to the unsafe situation they put us in. The manager's name was Norma Perez. The employee put her on speaker phone so I could ask my questions and her response was yeah no that's not going to happen. I told her the elevator was expired and she said yeah we know. This manager was extremely unprofessional. Did not apologize. Was not willing to work with us. I would think if you put customers in an unsafe situation that they can turn around and sue you for you might want to be a bit more respectful. I would really appreciate it if someone from customer service would reach out regarding this situation so I don't have to escalate it any further.
