The manager, Garett Martinek knows why this turned out to be a poor experience. No apologies from him, either. He cost me time on my move. I have rented from U-Haul in Topeka and Denver and this was the worst. I will rent trucks, but not another storage unit.

How U-Haul Reviews WorkWill never go back advertising is off for pest control pretty much dropped 225 dollars to them in one day and pretty much had me reload it on truck after I said they can throw it away sorry for making it such a hassle for u guys and then required me to removed all of it in 1 day to get my storage unit amount back of 107 dollars in 102 degree temperature

But other then that everything else was beyond good. The people are extremely friendly and helpful. I called a few times and spoke to a lady I think she her name was Martha and she was so helpful.

However, my move-out experience was beyond poor: the management was rude in person, then unresponsive, and next to impossible to reach by phone when needed. Despite moving out and speaking to an employee in person, they would not mark my account as inactive. I understand things take time, but after six days I truly believe that had I not called numerous times, my account would still be active and they would still be trying to charge me. I cannot stress this enough—this local office will not answer their phone. Or respond to email. Or even reply to customer service representatives reaching out on the customer's behalf from the main U-Haul customer service line. It took me calling a ridiculous number of times back-to-back before management rudely answered the phone and agreed to call me back. I am not one to leave reviews. I understand people have bad days. This experience was not that. This location is incredibly poorly managed and shows no care for its customers. I would not recommend this location.

I was 3 days late because I thought I had set up auto pay and when I saw it had not come out of my account I log in to pay and WOW …. I moved out of the unit in the middle of the month, didn’t see any refunds or pro rated rental fees credited to my account. I was not happy and may consider other options in the future.
