I had no option but to answer “No” to the questions above because the survey does not provide a “Not Applicable” or “I Don’t Know” option. The reality is that I was never shown the storage facility, walked through the process, or given enough information to answer any of those questions accurately. My overall experience with this location was extremely frustrating and unnecessarily chaotic. I transferred the contents of a 10 x 15 storage unit into U-Boxes, and from the beginning there seemed to be very little coordination or consistent information coming from management. The U-Boxes were supposed to be delivered to my storage facility the night before so they would be ready for us at 9:00 a.m. They weren’t. They still were not there when we arrived in the morning, despite what I had been promised. Paperwork was incorrect, information changed depending on whom I spoke with, and basic things about the process were never explained to me. For example, I was never told that each U-Box came with moving blankets. I purchased blankets because I thought I needed them, only to discover later that they were already inside the boxes. I then had to return what I had purchased and deal with that in the middle of an already complicated moving day. I do want to distinguish the employees from the management. The employees I encountered seemed competent, helpful and genuinely willing to get things done. At the same time, they often seemed nearly as confused as I was by the changing information and general chaos around them. My impression was that they were trying to do their jobs within a situation that lacked clear organization and direction from management. At one point, while I was trying to understand what was happening, the manager actually said to me, “I don’t know what’s going on. I haven’t had my Adderall this morning.” I was honestly stunned. When someone is trusting a company with an entire household of belongings, that is not something you expect to hear from the person managing the facility. I wasn’t expecting perfection. Moving is complicated and things happen. But I did expect accurate information, reasonable coordination, clear communication and some confidence that the people responsible for my belongings knew what was happening. Instead, I was left trying to piece the process together myself while the employees appeared to be doing their best to navigate the same confusion. The entire experience felt unnecessarily disorganized, and the problem, from my perspective, was management—not the employees trying to work through it.

A lot of confusion at this particular facility in Vineland New Jersey around the price lock. I won’t go into the details because I still have a headache from it. management at this location is somewhat chaotic, and reactive.
