The problem wasn't the pick up location. It was that it wasn't the closest one. We were on a tight schedule moving a college student out of an apartment and two of the three of us lost much of the morning driving across state lines to get the truck. Everyone was nice but we were scrambling to get everything packed before the movers we also hired through UHaul arrived.

Anthony BWhen I checked out online it said it would be $202.78 at pickup. The guy at the pickup location said that it would be $260. The receipt said that the insurance was $30, but the man kept telling us it was $60. Well eventually he said “okay I can do $30” which was really irritating because why was he saying it was $60. We rented a 10 foot truck but I got a call the day before saying they didn’t have any 10 footers and we would get a 15 footer with no upcharge. The guy at the checkout kept refusing. When he finally checked us out, we ended up having to pay $18 extra for no reason. When presented with the receipt, he said “I don’t need to see that.” He was very irritating to talk to and rude, and he did not care that I had my receipt with me. He was the worst part of the whole experience.
ethan gThe pick-up process was streamlined and relatively easy. My only concern is the fact that roaches were visible within the cargo area. As a result, all of my home furnishings and belongings will have to be inspected and unpacked outside of my new residence to prevent a roach infestation. This will take several weeks to complete. This is much more than a minor inconvenience.
