Truck was delivered before I picked it up. Fuel was on VERY empty and there was dog hair all over the inside of the truck. The staff was very friendly and I received credit towards these two issues.

Get to work early and be ready for your first customer. It should not take 30 min. to pick-up a trailer.

The auto transport trailer rental on Saturday from Austin Boats & Motors was unfortunately a rough experience. The technician at Austin Boats & Motors did not fully tighten/secure the ball hitch coupler on my truck. He connected up the chains, electrical and couple and verified that the brake lights and turn signals were working. The trailer stayed hitched to the truck for the 9 mile trip to pick up my car, but when I start to drive the car up the ramps, the tongue of the trailer popped off my 2 inch ball and was pushed into my tailgate damaging it. I was able to back the car slowly off the ramps and then called Austin Boats & Motors to report the incident. They took the information and said they were going to call U-Haul to report the incident and that U-Haul would get back to me. I have not heard back from U-Haul. I took pictures of the connection after it popped off, and of the damage to my tailgate (attached). I purchased the SafeTow insurance. Is the repair to my tailgate coverage under the SafeTow insurance? - What is the process to file a claim?

A better after hours drop off with room to turn around

I was directed to park in an area where I was told was a safe area where the employees park. I was never told that if I arrived back after hours that my vehicle would be unaccessible due to gates being locked. You can imagine the nightmare getting back only to find out that you can't get your car. Bad business

Maybe have a short driving experience before leaving the rental office. I am not use to such large vehicles. I could have benefited from a short "how to" before taking it out on the road.

Turn-in process was very quick and efficient; personnel very friendly.

Vehicle A/C was not reliable. Cooled only 50% of the time. Outside air temperature was mid-nineties, so cab was hot most of the time. Engine warning light was illuminated during the entire rental period. This vehicle should not have been rented. It needs to be in the shop.

The truck I rented was VERY dirty. Coffee stains all over the place. Windshield was very foggy and was hard to see out of (almost unsafe to drive). Steering wheel was out of alignment. DO NOT recommend that place. This is the second time I rented from that place and BOTH times same scenario.

There seemed to be an issue with the driver door closing properly without slamming it shut......maybe a seal around the door jamb issue - it should be resolved.
