i had a lot of frustrations with this rental. My apartment building had a strict 2-hour window for my elevator rental. I booked the u-haul starting 30 minutes prior to this window. i ended up missing the entire first hour because of the poor handling of my order, meaning we started an hour and a half after we were meant to. The first location we went to accidentally somehow gave their last vehicle to someone else, and we didn’t get proper assistance until I called customer service. They had us go to another location and we needed to take an Uber there. At that location they had issues completing the order and I had to call customer service two separate times (the first time they transferred me to a number with a two hour hold time, which means we would completely miss the move out elevator booking — i hung up and called again) before u-haul finally resolved it over the phone — the second location (wendi america african market) did not even attempt to contact u-haul for us. overall this experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. To boot, the u-haul was dirty and we did not get the dolly we had rented. If you are moving and have strict timings, do not book with u haul at all. find a friend with a pickup truck or something else.

I had a terrible experience. The lack of cleanliness of the truck is a minor issue. But I had to chase U-Haul and the location to close my contract even though I returned on time and I still got charged twice the rental rate and had to go through customer service multiple times.
Adnan BNobody was manning the counter and it took 10 minutes for some guy at a sewing machine to have another person call me to complete the rental over the phone. The vehicle was absolutely filthy (old McDonald's fries on the floor of the cab, thick layer of dirt on everything, sticker and paper residue on the windscreen, and what looked like crayon writing on the side windows). The gas tank was below 1/4 as well. Equipment number on the fob didn't match the vehicle, so I had to wander around for a while to find it.
