This location was fine but when I made the reservation on Thursday, U-Haul had sent me to Clayton tire and auto on US 70 and when I arrive there that morning they had not registered a truck to my name so I had to call and that is when I was sent over to Meta Drive. Very inconvenient. When I got into the truck, it only had 1/16 of a tank of gas so I had to stop to fill up to only be inconvenienced yet again. I was asked an hour of pay on my movers because of these issues. At the end of the trip, however, James was very helpful with the process of checking the truck back in.

How U-Haul Reviews WorkThough staff at the location were out of the office, unscheduled and unknown to me on the day of pickup, I was able to get assistance from U-Haul on how to check out myself using the TruckShare feature in the mobile app. I did lose extremely valuable time picking up, due to the location staff not being available. Wait and callback times from U-Haul support was over an hour, so I wasn't aware of self-service options whatsoever for almost an hour and a half. I give the location 5 stars anyway because I've rented there before and was handled well in the past. 5 stars also for having a very well-lit storefront that made returning the equipment easy, as the location barcode was very well illuminated. Not their fault I wasn't aware of self-help options in their absence from the office. Though I'm over 50 and prefer an in-person transaction for equipment rental. Pickup of rental equipment is usually timed by most people in a way that makes immediate availability at checkout time critical. Anything that affects this is generally a big negative.
