I booked the trailer at Lave O Max in Sherbrooke. Was told they didn’t have it and had to drive out of town to Cookshire-Eaton which was an inconvenience. Then, the staff had a difficult time with the reservation system. Once that was finally dealt with, I noticed one of the tires on the trailer was flat. So that needed to be changed before I could leave. The ratchets for the straps were also rusty and could use some wd-40. I was not at all impressed by the lack of maintenance on the trailer.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from U-Haul and, unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company. My reservation was originally scheduled for pickup in Drummondville. The day before my rental, I called the location myself to confirm everything, only to be told that they did not have a truck for me. They gave me U-Haul's customer service number, and that's when I found out my truck had been reassigned to Cookshire-Eaton, a considerable distance from the original pickup location. The customer service representative assured me that the 12 moving blankets and the refrigerator dolly would be available at the new location. As compensation for this last-minute inconvenience, I was also told that my rental would include unlimited mileage. When I arrived in Cookshire-Eaton, the moving blankets were there, but the refrigerator dolly was not. As a result, I had to make an additional trip to Sherbrooke just to pick one up, wasting valuable time on moving day. When I returned the truck in Granby, I encountered yet another issue. The truck had been provided with a quarter tank of fuel, and I was instructed to return it with the same amount. I mistakenly overestimated the amount of fuel I needed and returned the truck with approximately half a tank more than required, representing roughly **$125 worth of fuel**. I received absolutely no compensation for this surplus. To make matters worse, despite having been explicitly told by customer service that I had unlimited mileage because of the change in pickup location, the return location still attempted to charge me for excess mileage. I do want to point out that the staff at the Cookshire-Eaton location were excellent. They were courteous, professional, and did everything they could with the information they had. They are not responsible for the issues I experienced. My dissatisfaction is with U-Haul's overall management and customer service. The lack of communication between departments, conflicting information, unfulfilled promises, and failure to resolve problems turned what should have been a simple truck rental into a frustrating experience. For these reasons, I cannot recommend U-Haul. The company needs to significantly improve communication and coordination between its customer service department and its rental locations if it wants to provide a reliable customer experience.
Jean-Francois AEnsure the equipment is clean and in good working order. Do not arbitrarily change the reservation at the last minute without explaining the situation. Do not allowing booking of equipment that is not available. Do not rent equipment that is broken.

Kendrick BThe rental was made with a agent on Monday April 20th the truck location shoild have been in Sherbrooke, a agent called me on Friday April 24th and told me the truck 15feet was not available only a 20feet and at the Cookshire location (25 min further). Im not impress about the reservation/location process. 30$ rebate for the 1hour extra drive was not enough…
