When ordering the Uhaul i gave them my credit card to reserve it. I was told you didn't have to pay for it until the UHaul was turned in. The fee was deducted from my account anyway. My daughter was going to pay for the fees with her credit card when the Haul was turned in. And you WOULD NOT credit my account and put it on her card. I am not happy that i was misled. If ever we need a trailer again i will go elsewhere. NOT HAPPY. Thank God i had money transferred into my account in case something like that happened. Not only that we got the run around and had to call different numbers to try and get my account credited. To no avail.

I showed up at the location at the time of my reservation. I downloaded the app so that I could pick up the truck without going inside or talking to anyone. However, the vehicle that I was assigned was not in the parking lot. I ended up having to go inside and ask. The associate was very nice but told me that since she was the only one in the office that I would need to go to their remote lot around the corner to see if the vehicle was there, and if it was to come back and tell her to get the key. Luckily the person that drove me there hadn't left yet and was able to drive me over there and back and back again. Using the online app to get the vehicle, it says once you find the vehicle to walk right up to the counter and not wait in line. But when I did that, other customers were helped first. Then once I got to where I was to pick up items, I realized that the dolly I paid extra for was not in the truck so I had to drive all the way back to the store to get one. When I explained that I hadn't gotten the dolly I had paid for, there was no apology, no empathy, nothing. Granted, I was a little snippy because the whole process took way longer than it should have when I made a reservation to avoid delays. Bottom line, have the trucks in the lot and make sure they have the additional items that customers paid for.

The return address takes you to the wrong location to drop off the truck. It takes you to the storage side, and not the drop off the truck side. The attendant was super helpful and came and got the keys from me at essentially the back door because I'd already dropped off the truck in their parking lot.

This was the first time I've personally rented myself. I've been around them a lot .I came in without a reservation and I have to say I was very impressed by this location. It was clean and neat and Alex was very helpful. He explained the whole process start to finish ( after hours drop off, gas your contact number and everything) I'm in customer service and I appreciate being treated like I treat my customers. I made it back before closing and was greeted outside as I pulled in. I didn't catch his name but he explained the check in process and final charge. Again very professional. The whole experience was flawless from your end which was very helpful during my hectic day. I'm not much for writing reviews, but I felt my experience with Uhaul was above and beyond. Thank you, Dan Porter customer for life.

We were quoted 30.00 per day for the rental. The young man did NOT tell us there was a different rate for a one way rental. He even said we would be charged only for the days we actually used the trailer instead of the 5 day allowance. When I attempted to clarify with the young man, I got UHAUL instead that is when we were informed of the 601.00 flat rate. When I saw the 601.00 charge I assumed it was so high maybe because of a deposit. NO SIR I was charged 575.00 plus Tax. That is just wrong. I will not use nor recommend Uhaul to anyone.

Jeffrey Hunt 12:18 PM (0 minutes ago) to noreply I wanted to rent from a location only a 1/4 mile from my home. I was routed to another location a bit out of the way and of further distance. When I arrived the next day to pick up, I was told the location had been changed to an even further distance pick up location. I was told this was SOP. I went to the current pick up location and was given the normal run down and offered all the extra perks... the truck ended up being a beater with over 175,000 miles on the odometer. It rode like a 1800's buggy, was loud, and sucked fuel, plus the steering swayed back and forth like a kite in the wind. When we went to pull out the loading ramp, we discovered that the ramp came off the track and trolly under-carriage and we could not fully extend it out. We had to shove it back in and secure it with bungee cords. Needless to say, we loaded the entire truck from ground level and never had the use of the trucks ramp. When we reported the issue to U-haul, we were offered no assistance or aid. As the day turned to night, we then found out that none of the interior box lights worked....not surprised... The more discouraging thing was a brand new 26' truck sat un-used at the U-Haul location just down the street, as we passed it all 3 days that we had the clunker. Upon return, no discounts or apologies were offered, just a confirmation of the full price my card would be billed....sigh... I will never rent from U-Haul again.... take care of the equipment and stop renting lemons at full price
