At first I wasn’t sure if this was an appropriate location to drop off my truck. It was a neighborhood grocery and convenience store; very different from the pick up location which was a large U-Haul only location. He suggested calling to confirm, which I did. Everything was fine, I concluded the drop off, and I thought about how this network of neighborhood U Haul locations is a smart and effective way to be closer to customers both physically and culturally and that his association with U-Haul likely brings in more income for his business and family members, which is all a positive, laudable, and community building thing that is always important but especially so now given growing economic inequality and increasing political polarization that is dangerous to the health and well being of our people and democracy.

Our order flowed over inaccurate - an in-town move showed up as a move from TX to FL for $1800. It took almost 45 minutes and a call to uhaul to get this straightened out. The insurance stated $15 but at checkout it stated $99. This also took forever to get straightened out. There was an option for dolly and 5 blankets to rent for $10 but this location did not have these items to rent. The guy behind the desk, who didn't appear to be trained for uhaul, was gracious enough to rent us 4 blankets that were on the floor for $7 which helped.

CHARLES KThe truck had weak air-conditioning it was cool but not cold. It also had cigarette odor. It also had about 1/4 of a tank of gas. There was not appliance dolly available. The location was fine and the attendant was helpful, check in and check out was smooth.
