And in deference to the owner, who angrily came out to confront us for dropping off our 4x8 at midnight, I can understand the attitude on one level, it was late. However the instructions from U Haul indicates that “after hours” drop off is acceptable, and we utilized self service on the app for the return which was seamless itself. But the owner, who understandably had the demeanor of a junk yard dog, was being defensive likely if his property and it being after hours and maybe he was sleeping alough he arrived quicky fully dressAfter an argument with my wife that although we were following the U haul instructions, the owner\manager let us know we should have checked HIS website which implies it offers contradictory instructions. It seems if you contract with a third party to lease your space that you probably have to follow their guidelines, or find a way of improving communication. However after the attitude and some demeaning remarks he allowed us to leave the trailer at his return property. This was the site that was listed as the return. It is just that this individual does not have the accommodations for after hours drop off.
