My experience picking up my U-Haul was frustrating from the start. I had originally reserved a truck at one location, but was told a few days before that it was overbooked and my pickup had been moved to a completely different site, at a hotel, of all places. The check-in process at the hotel felt disorganized and unusual, not at all what I expected from a rental company. It didn’t feel like a proper pickup location, and the process lacked clarity. To make matters worse, the truck itself was not clean. There was mud on the driver’s side floor, and the interior smelled strongly of fried food, which made the drive unpleasant right from the start. Overall, I would hope for better coordination, cleaner vehicles, and more reliable service in the future.

DANIEL CA person with hearing issues did have problems understanding and hearing the people at the desk. Other than that i was a good experience.
TERESA DCouldn't do self check in on website (tired many times), also had problems trying in person because the system wasnt working well there either, uhaul tried adding a dolly without our approval, truck had check engine light on, then upon return we found out uhaul had added a tow trailer to the reservation (again without approval) when we didn't need OR get one. They couldn't zero out thr trailer we'd never gotten either so we might have to call to figure out that charge. The people were polite, it seems to be ALL a uhaul issue.
