we had trouble with the app and then had to contact via text, customer service, they suggested using browser, and that did the jobDanny N.
This morning I got a call from U-haul office (not my pick up location) from the phone number 514-684-3273 first at 9:39 am to which I requested an extension of keeping the U-haul vehicle until 1400 hours, which she did not agree and asked me to bring the vehicle back for 12 pm. Then at 9:42 am I got a call back from the same number where she told me that I could could return the U-haul vehicle at 1400 hours. Then around 10:30 am I got a call from Depanneur JMI (location from where I rented) to bring the U-haul vehicle back by 12pm, to which I explained him about my earlier conversation with the U-haul agent and agreement to bring the vehicle back at 1400 hours. He said there was no such update on my booking. Then I called back U-haul office at the number 514-684-3273, maybe it was some other girl who answered the phone (not the one who had called me on the morning), so I updated her about my previous conversation with the representative who called me from that number at 9:39 and then at 9:42. The agent with whom I was talking to was very rude, and told me to bring back the truck by 12pm and when I tried to explain her what I was promised earlier, she became more rude and completely ignored me and hung up on me. I called back on the same number and the same ride woman answered the phone, so we asked for a manger. she was even more rude this time and said â€œthere is no manager available, and you are arguing with meâ€ and she hung up the phone again. I was very disappointed with this rude behaviour from U-haul staff at the phone number 514-684-3273. I have always rented vehicles from U-haul, at least 3 times between Jan to May and did not appreciate this behaviour. I would want you to please either call me or email me on what action would the U-haul management take on this action from a very rude employee. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you. The truck pick-up location had good service, but the U-Haul customer service department has VERY BAD service that I would rate not even 1 star !!!!! I was charged TWICE for the truck rental (one amount in the morning when I picked-up the truck, and then another amount when I brought it back !!!!) And I called U-Haul to get refunded for the morning "deposit", but it's been 4 days now and I STILL have not got refunded yet !!!!! They should ONLY hold the amount when you pick-up the truck, and charge you the "real" amount (with real mileage) after you bring the truck back, NOT both amounts !!!!!! So watch out people, make sure you check your credit card bill !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DANIEL G.

What you are doing is wrong and needs to be changed. When I picked up the vehicle I was told that the contract has been e-mailed to me and i was not given any paper work. What if I was stopped by the police and needed to prove the vehicle was not stolen? This is the problem you are faced with. You are assuming that everyone has a phone and contract will be on the phone. Well I got news for you: it is NOT a law yet not to have a phone. For 98% of the cases you will have no problem but for the others what you are doing is wrong, and against the law!! Why should you take this risk and be faced with anyone in this percent of people? Until owning a phone is made law and maybe having it surgically implanted to my body one day, I will not be one of the people that is seen constantly staring down to their phone when walking, driving and doing everything else while at the same time tripping over and bumping into things not to mention falling off what they are walking on. What you are doing is NOT yet legal and should be changed!! Otherwise everything else was good.Bill M.

Although rep at establishment was pleasant, it was not explained clearly that I would be charged in miles versus kilometers. It is not their fault. However, after calling U-Haul.com to clarify billing, blame was pointed at each other (local vs U-Haul.com). Unfortunately, after losing my job due to covid-19, and having to sell my condo to re-locate, had I known I would be charged in US miles, I would have picked a cheaper alternative. After having a 4-way conference call and 45 mins later. No one was able to find a solution for me. Very disappointed.Rosina P.

The personnel working at the depanneur was great; very friendly and helpful. However, the u-haul customer service was HORRIBLE. We did not receive any confirmation email the day before our pick up and when calling the customer service line, it would automatically drop the call. When I finally reached a customer service representative named Melissa after 20 mins of wait time, she was VERY rude and condescending and said that she would put me on hold but ended up HANGING UP. The fact that so many others had the same issues just goes to show how poor the customer service level is at U-haul. I will be avoiding renting from you again. Please hire better staff as CSR.Yidan L.
Was supposed to pick up truck at another location. (65 Brunswick). Reserved 31/2 weeks in advance to ensure pickup location. Was never informed location had changed ! Gentleman at new location only called me 30 min in advance to tell me. By that time was on my way to pick up. Cost me $30 cab fare to move to second pickup location. Would appreciate this coming off my bill as a refundMark M.
