The cargo van I rented was absolutely FILTHY. In over 20 years of renting U-Hauls, I have never received such a dirty vehicle. Whoever used it before me left easily about a paint buckets worth of landscaping soil in the back, and every surface was covered in soil dust. The two front seats were also covered in soil dust and woody particles. I needed the van to move a WHITE ANTIQUE SOFA today. I had to ask the Mini Mart attendant for a broom so I could sweep it out. For some reason, she just stood there and watched me sweep dirt out of this truck—like, what, am I going to steal the world's most chewed up, useless broom from your mini mart?? I did the best I could, and I returned it cleaner than I received it, but I DAMN WELL BETTER NOT BE CHARGED for returning a dirty vehicle. I RECEIVED it that way. Very disappointing.
