Very unhappy with the entire transaction. I feel i was lied too about this. I was quoted one price on the phone after explaining what size truck and that it was a one day rental to be dropped off at another location. I had another establishment rental set up with a flat rate 139 for the day with unlimited miles. I was quoted on the phone 69 cents a mile and 19.95 for the truck. This would have put the rentals close so I decided to go with Uhaul based on its reputation. Much to my disappointment when I arrived they said that quote was no good and that I would need a 2 day rental and the mileage would be 89 cents a mile. I explained the truck would be returned (to the secobd location) on the same day and I actually only had it for about 6 hours. I was charged for an additional 40 miles above estimate and was told if i didn't use them they would be refunded. I used 9 and was not refunded anything. This rental ended up costing much more than the original estimate and almost double the other supplier. Hopefully something can be adjusted as I feel i was completely misled. If this is your policy I would never use or recommend Uhaul to anyone ever again.
I was not satisfied with the one-way rental. It allotted more days than I needed and I didn't receive a credit for the days that I didn't need.
Well I really needed a new tow dolly and a replacement would have been preferred
1. The vehicle was very dirty inside. So I had to clean it and disinfect it thoroughly. I took a photo that shows how dirty the towels were after use. 2. The customer service at this location was so bad I would never go back unless I received a formal apology from the two employees who were present when I came to the facility to pick up the 15' truck on the 12th. Specifically the individual who said his name was â€œDomâ€. It might be his age but his customer service skills are very poor. He mumbled lazily and show no sense of respect for the fact that I was there as a customer who chose U-Haul over its competitors. The other person on staff with Dom did step-in periodically to answer my questions because Dom didn't. Even after I informed Dom that I thought he was being disrespectful he just said â€œI haven't done anything wrongâ€. So he must think his behavior is acceptable. I wish I was his boss because it could have been a really positive teaching moment. The manager at this location, I assume, doesn't encourage this type of practice. Dom I assume decided to work for U- Haul and in his position when a custom is there to be helped he shouldn't be surprised, upset or lazy. Like it or not he is in the field that requires him to be the best he can in order to represent U-Haul. He should try his best to assist with a positive mannerism regardless of his personal issues. The manager at this location should really help this young man understand his roll. 3. The next morning there was another employee who assisted me with my tow dolly. I don't recall his name. He was very respectful and courteous. A total 180 degrees from the service I got the day before. I would 100 percent return if I knew he was there to help me with my rental. I recall one of our conversation moment was me asking him how his day was going and although his response was â€œI'm tiredâ€ I didn't really see that in his mannerism. He connected the dolly and then recommended I connect my car up on the parking lot where it was flat and safe. I really felt like a appreciated customer who made the right decision choosing U-Haul. Drives me crazy I can't remember his name cause he deserve a pat on the back for demonstrating that U-Haul hires people that respect their position and represent your company well even when no one is watching per say. Great job.

I was impressed with this location. The registration process and checkin was efficient as well as the facility clean. Alicia and her assistant were very nice ad helpful, plus a big thanks to Mike for helping with the lights wiring. He was very patient and smart about getting our trailer connected.

I turned the uhaul in at around 8:30 PM because I got the wrong keys for the wrong van and had to call customer service to have them fix it and it took them almost an hour to complete this request. Also I just checked my email and my receipt says I was charged with bringing the uhaul back at 8:37AM. I want a refund this is ridiculous that the lady at the front desk gave me the wrong keys and I have to pay extra for her mistake.

I was charged the wrong amount!!!!!! When I picked up the vehicle, the paperwork indicated mileage of 10,897. Fortunately the nice woman told me to check it and take photo if inaccurate. It was inaccurate. Actual mileage was 10,911. I took photo and came in to show it to the woman, but she didn't ask to see it, so I merely reported the actual mileage to her. Just rec'd final copy of bill and mileage was based on 10,897 rather than 10,911. This was simple and understandable error. What REALLY BURNS ME UP is that you make it impossible for me to call the location directly. I called the number on the bill and got an obvious national number telling me I'd be on hold for 10-15 minutes. The hell with that! If I could have called the location directly I could have resolved this in a 30 second phone call! Now I'm wasting my time having to complete this stupid form. The location was great. UHaul is not! Next time I'll probably go to a competitor because of the time you're making me waste!!! Gary Burfoot
I did the 24/7 self rental from a mobile device, and scheduled it for a 9am pickup. It may have been mentioned somewhere, but I didnt realize my reservation would be canceled if I wasn't there right at 9. I arrived at 10, and at least the truck was still available, but I had to go thru the process of reserving a truck all over again just for being an hour late. Perhaps make it clear that you have a certain window you must arrive by.

There is honestly no way to express what a complete disaster the UHaul on Gold Star Hwy in Groton, Ct. is. For a move from Ct to Fl, I had to bring the 5x8 trailer back 3 times (load, unload, load, etc.). Each time it was because there were no brake lights, signals, etc.. When I told one employee I had no brake lights, he told me repeatedly I had signed a contract and it was my problem. Another time when I said I had no tail lights I was told that reflectors were sufficient and lights weren't necessary. The absolute lack of knowledge, customer service and incredible negligence and indifference on the part of the staff at this location is unbelievably staggering. The increased stress caused by renting a UHaul from this location greatly impacted my wife and myself. I cannot recall, at any time in my life, a company so poorly run. I would like to mention, as a side note, that Alicia did go out of her way to help us.
I used the mobile check-in in order to have a quick and COVID friendly pickup. Three check-in through the app was not quick, and in order to get the keys I had to use a lock that is clearly not cleaned. I was given a wrong code for the lock. The truck did not have the appliance dolly I rented in it. The truck required a front alignment and shook terribly going over 50mph. I was charged for fuel as the fuel gauge was not checked to ensure the customer prior to me didn't lie. The pictures that are showed for scratches are clearly not recent.
All three employees were wonderful. Professional and courteous. They even changed the ball on the receiver for me. I will use you guys again and recommend. Thank you
