You have to park the trucks in tall weeds with front wheels in a muddy ditch. Not having cell service made pickup and dropping off take nearly 1 hr each time. The Hamden filling station wifi is terrible and would kick you off during the booking process. The U-Haul App requires you to take pictures and upload them before and after your rental. Every time you try to upload a picture of the side of the truck, front of the truck, truck cleanliness of the inside of the truck, odometer reading, and fuel you would get booted off the wifi. All while you're outside getting destroyed by mosquitoes. While using the app U-Haul to try to verify your identity. They will ask to call you to text you to confirm, the problem is there's no cell service, and if you get booted off the Wi-Fi, you can't receive a text. And the same thing happens when you choose other options, like getting an email. And God forbid, you ask the Hamden filling station if you can use their landline phone to confirm your Identity to U-haul. They will tell you, they need to keep the phone line open, even if you planned on being on it for one minute at the most. They are more worried about missing an order for a pizza than helping you out. There is no wonder that U- haul can't keep a vendor in the area when the vendor has no intention of helping you out. Apparently, they think, how is this going to make me any money. The other Hamden, location river valley, new holland was the same way and they no longer have trucks. No surprise. Everyone wants to own a business,but nobody wants to provide service. You are seen as inconvenience to them, because you're not buying a tractor or you're not buying a pizza.

It was convenient yes but poor cell and no WiFi took a while to upload everything Why charge for 20 extra miles bout no credit for extra gas in tank????
John MThe location is a dead zone for cell reception. It took me 1 hour and 45 minutes to get the keys for the truck. The location is all done remotely and the people there say they can not help you because they don't really know anything about the system. It was very frustrating and put me behind in loading and getting to my destination. Drop off was very easy since it was an actual business so it didn't require cell reception. I had also received a text message of when was I going to return the truck. There was a high demand for trucks and they could use it asap. I wasn't require to return it until 8 am Saturday. I returned it at 11:30 am Friday. I feel that with the the issues for pick-up and returning it almost 24 hours early I should receive some type of compensation. I do have to say that the representative that help me through the pick up process was very patient and helpful.

Joseph AThe location treats the vehicles like crap. When I arrived to get the truck, it was parked on an include that could damage the suspension and it was so high up I could barely climb up into the drivers seat from the ground and I am 5'10. I had to physically pull my back out to even enter the vehicle for the first time. Additionally, the truck I had did not brake properly and handled very poorly. I've driven dozens of your trucks before and I've never had an experience like this.
