We had a disappointing experience. This was not the location I booked, I booked the Morganton, NC location. Found out on Saturday morning when we showed up that the Morganton location is closed on Saturdays. We then had to get re-booked to Hickory that was another 30 minutes out of the way for us, putting us over an hour behind schedule. If a location is closed on the weekends, customers need to be informed. W probably would have rented the trailer on Friday rather than going all the way to Hickory. The employees we encountered on the phone and in Hickory were consummate professionals who did their best to help us out, but this should have never happened in the first place.

Had already made our reservation via phone the day before and the service was paid with a card. When I entered the business there were 2 people behind the counter. I let them know that I had reserved a truck. The clerk at the counter was looking up our name and the other person was telling us we needed a card before we could get one as well as telling us the reason why we needed a card and how the rental process works and that who I talked to wasn’t at his location. He should have let the person checking our reservation confirm what we had already booked first before he spoke. Then he would have saw that we paid. I felt as though what I had completed via phone with a representative wasn’t valid even with a reservation receipt via email. Very unprofessional to me. Apparently he doesn’t trust the process your company has in place when we as customers rent your U-Haul’s via phone. I will not visit this location again if I need services from your company. I’ll find another location.
James BQuick easy and very friendly
STONE CI am very experienced with trailers and needed no help to hitch the trailer. However, this location did not know this. I was instructed to locate the trailer, hitch it to my truck and pull in front of their facility for them to inspect the connection with my truck. I did not check the lighting on the trailer at pick-up. I did so about an hour after pick-up and had no brake or signal lights on the right side of the trailer. I had no time to return the trailer for repair; so, I traveled 475 miles with the trailer as is. Other than the light issue the trailer performed flawlessly. The next time I need a car carrier it will be a U-Haul.
