I picked up the uhaul, the gas gauge was just below half a tank, so I filled the truck up. I used the truck for a one way rental, after I was finished I dropped it off the same day well ahead of the scheduled drop off time with slightly less than a full tank and they didn't have the common courtesy to give me an adjustment on the gas I left in there. I know from past experience that if I had left less than what was in the truck I would have been charged almost double the price of gas to replenish it. So my hopes are that uhaul will straighten out these less than upstanding franchise owners.

Alan CI reserved my rental nearly a week before at the Dunkirk location. When I arrived, my rental was still buried and no attempt to dig it out was made. There were 4 people standing around at the counter. One of them called U-Haul to have my reservation transferred but not until I was present for pick-up. That took 45 mins to transfer me to a location 10 miles in the opposite direction than I had planned on traveling…..thanks for that U-haul. That said, once at Calvert Auto, it was smooth sailing. They too had to dig out my rental but they didn’t complain about it, they just did it. Had U-Haul notified them of my transfer I’m sure it would have been ready when I arrived. The guys hooked the trailer to my truck and off I went. Despite the delay with Dunkirk, Calvert Auto help me stay on schedule with my project. Drop off was an absolute breeze too.
