The facility was in extremely poor conditions and I had to drive through an uneven grass field to get to the trailer. Even though I returned the trailer on time after hours and attempted to do the U-haul app check-in, I was charged an additional $20 for convenience fee. Cell service was extremely unreliable in the location and I thought the check-in to return the trailer had gone through. Once I saw the additional charges, I called to discuss this matter with the owner and he refused to refund the fee (even though he acknowledged the reception is poor in the area and he saw the trailer was returned on time). He promptly hung up on me and refused to answer the phone any more. I would not recommend this U-Haul place to anyone. There is an excellent U-Haul facility in Manteo I would recommend instead of Colington Pawn.

The site is not inviting, there was no one there. The door was locked you have to call . They ask if thr truck is clean and has gas. Just park it and put the key in the orange box. This was at 1pm . They don't open until 12noon.Then they charge me for gas and after hour return. What you can do to improve this location is to shut it down.
JAMES MI was charged an after-hours service fee when I dropped the key off the evening before the truck was due back. They could have processed the drop off when they opened the next day. Outrageous rip-off.

mark RI ordered a dolly and it was not included. I am waiting to get reimbursed. I never got a call to confirm my reservation. The office hours are ridiculous at the Colington location.
