Making sure that all the details of who will give you a deposit back and who will not I got the run around and had to redeliever the truck to a different location so I could get my deposit back and or if have wait for it to come in the mail. Still got the run around with and had to use work time to redeliever as well as wait for uhaul to call after call to undo delievery so the new location could return my deposit.

He tried to help me as much as possible but a very muffler in Sonora made it impossible for him to reduce my unnessisary charges. He was apologetic and sympathetic.

I told him I wanted the trailer with high sides. I didn't have time to redo all the paperwork when he gave me the dirty trailer with low sides. It took an extra trip, but the job got done. Next time I will pick out my own trailer and make sure of what I'm renting.

Everything was fine until I went to gas the vehicle and get my receipt from office. It was confusing and here's why. It read on the contract that I received truck with a half a tank of gas. It also read that the truck had a fuel tank capacity of 26 gallons. The gas gauge read near empty so I figured it would take 13 gallons to get the fuel gauge back to half full. I put in 15 gallons to make sure there was plenty unless my calculations were off. I put the stated gallons in and to my surprise the gas gauge read full. How can that be when it stated on contract it had 26 fuel capacity. Then when I asked for a credit at the office the nice folks pointed out Uhaul will not credit over fill of fuel and pointed out that its in the contract. What was more confusing is the employee looked at contract and said I used only a gallon of gas. Impossible because I put 98 miles pulling several loads of debris. I did not plead my case any further with the office and said I would call the 800 number to see if I could get some kind of credit from company. It took awhile to get my receipt but then I asked if they would send it which they said they would ...that was not much of a big deal other than I had a ride waiting for me. But the fact that they said Uhaul would not work with me on a credit of some sort will make me think twice of using your trucks and trailers for my new demolition business. I do have another job lined up soon so if I get nowhere with my request I will look to another company here in town to do my business. I'm sure my boycott of Uhaul is a tiny drop in Uhaul bucket but to myself its a principle thing. Thx for reading and I hope you can see it how I do.

Prices to high for gas and mileage.
