This connect is NOT about either The location where I picked up t Or dropped off the trailer but about my overall experience which was poor 1 star. I reserved a trailer at a nearby location where I have previously had good experiences. I was to pick up the trailer at 10 am on Sunday, The day before the Monday pick up, I received a text that said my pickup was for 2pm. I had arranged for two sets of movers in two different locations to help me load items in those two locations based on a 10 am pick up. I had built in some extra time in case of delays but not 4 hours of delays. I had to scramble on a Sunday to change times with two different professional movers. Then on Monday , two hours before my pick up I received a call telling me that the trailer I was supposed to pick up at 2 had been returned in such bad shape that it wasn’t roadworthy and was told that I could pick up a trailer at 2 at a location that was an hour and a half away from me and 40 minutes away from my first pick up location. I had to drop everything I was doing and head to the new pick up location and hope that the pick up went smoothly because I was going to be late to meet my first movers if I didn’t hustle. Luckily the person at the pick up location was able to get me going quickly and his equipment was in good shape. I was disappointed that I had been inconvenienced and forced to change my schedule, with almost no notice. I have rented trailers from U-Haul many times before including at least a half dozen times in the previous year and a half and never had this kind of problem before. I will think twice before arranging to rent a trailer from U-Haul again I am NOT a happy customer despite the excellent service I received at both locations, because of this scheduling problem which could have cost me more money had my movers been less flexible, or derailed my move entirely. There are a lot of different entities involved in a move including arranging time slots for pickups and deliveries so I was coordinating with 5 different entities and had to manage all of them with this unanticipated change.

I hate doing business with That's The Scoop because the owner is an asshole, and he & his staff smoke heavily just outside the side door, so all the smoke fills the inside space. That said, it was the most convenient drop location, and, thankfully, they were closed, so I didn't have to go inside or deal with the personnel at that location. The parking lot was clean, though the lines were so faded it was hard to tell if I succeeded in parking within them. The front door glass was filthy when I tried to open it before realizing they were closed, but the location is otherwise well-maintained on the exterior. Side note: your feedback form should offer N/A options on the personnel question and maybe something other than just yes/no on the clean and inviting question (like, N/A b/c I didn't go inside)
