The vehicle was filthy, there were sunglasses on the dash. The vehicle was nasty. I wasn’t shown all the electronic dash or manual needs of a truck that sized. The steering was loose, it needed an alignment, the brakes pulsated, the mirrors were rusted in place, there was a major clunk in the drivers side front wheel, it was a tough drive. I made it to my destination & called U-Haul directly. The vehicle was not safe to drive I’m 60 & driven all different vehicles. I know what unsafe feels. The staff at U-Haul were very good to deal with. They arranged to have the vehicle towed. I was told 1 hr. Okay. At the 2 hr mark no one knew what was happening with the service. The staff arranged an Uber back to London & said leave the truck. The store is charging me over 120$ for the rental. That’s a kick in the ovaries. The uber driver was a wonderful ride. The time went by quickly & I was de-stressed a bit by his demeanour & conversation. Kudos! Overall this was a terrible experience. I will never rent from a store again. From now on I’ll go to an authorized dealer.
