The wait time at the counter was excessive. One individual was checking in customers, taking their information and payment, and then walking them each to their vehicles. It took well over 30 minutes to get my vehicle which had been reserved online. This location needed to expedite service on this day.

I looked up the location online, called the local number, made a reservation for a 9 foot van on Sunday, 09-11 at 5:30 p.m. When I arrived to pick up the van, the staff person on the premises stated repeatedly that the location closes at 5 p.m. on Sunday, would not acknowledge that I had a reservation at 5:30 p.m. I went back the next day to speak with the manager, as it turns out the person who was there the day before is the manager, when I showed him the website on my phone listing the hours, he stated that there was one website showing that they close at 5, and another website showing that they close at 6. The implication was that it was my fault that I reserved the vehicle at the wrong time. He took no responsibility for the problem, was not in the least apologetic. I would have to say it was some of the poorest customer service I have experienced.

The location I asked for was closed when I got there. No notice on the web site. The location I was directed to was farther away and caused my time to be wasted and an increase in the cost. I am very dissatisfied with this rental.

I picked up the rental van first thing on a Sunday morning. Two employees were available to handle the 10 or more people that were there at the same time. First, since only two people were available, and those same two people had to get all the paperwork completed as well as retrieve the vehicles, it took about 15 minutes to service two customers. I was 4th in line, so I didn't get to leave with the vehicle until a half hour after my scheduled pickup - and I had completed the online express check-in. Second, what good is the express check-in if I have to go through all the same questions at the store? These two facets of my experience are the only issues I had with the entire rental process. I think using the express check-in should have eliminated the first problem.

Allow more than 24 hour pickup rental, Took 10-12 phone calls and website visit to nail down a reservation. Had to call another location to get things ironed out. Poor customer service from corporate, and dealers. It all worked out in the end, truck worked great. Had better experiences on all of the numerous rentals from u haul.

You allow check in ahead of the pickup - would be nice if the Customer Service person had access to this when doing the check-in in person. Overall very pleased - the truck was available when we went to pick it up and it was the truck that was reserved.

When we rented the truck, right at the site we cleared the fuel meter. We consumed 1.8 gallons of fuel and went ahead and replaced 2 gallons to ensure that we would not be charged for fuel by the Uhaul location and meet the 3/4 tank requirement. However, we were charged for fuel even though it was returned in actuality with more fuel than when rented. For this reason we will rent from a different provider in the future and avoid being overcharged by Uhaul.

I did not receive any communication from UHaul after initial confirmation of online booking. When I called in the day before my move, had to wait on hold 3 separate times, making 3 separate calls because my booking wasn't set up correctly. I booked a truck for a day, but had to have it back by 3:00 pm. As a result, I had to contact my crew of helpers and make last minute adjustments, while trying to finish packing. The representatives I spoke to said a voice mail was left and an email was sent; we confirmed phone # and email, but I did not receive ANY communication. VERY disappointed! When I asked for some sort of reimbursement, I was told they couldn't help me. I will look to another carrier first in the future. If you are going to promise something, then deliver on that promise. Otherwise, don't waste my time.

The customer service over the phone was very unpleasant but upon arrival the attendant was very friendly. The truck smelled like cigarettes and had some beer caps in the door pockets but otherwise everything else was just fine.
