The vehicle was old, rusty and had accident damage. HOWEVER, that was not the fault of the rental location - Mazo Rental was wonderful. I will not, however, never ever use U-Haul again and I will be very vocal about my displeasure to everyone I know! The day before I picked up the truck I was informed that my "prefered location" was not where the vehicle was to be picked up - it was 34 minutes away from where I had selected,. I fully expected that since I had not heard anything to the contrary in the days prior to my pickup date, I would be granted my "prefered location". Why would anyone reasonably think otherwise? Honestly - would you? When I called the main office (after being on hold for quite some time) the agent told me that the fine print stated that it was only a prefered location and not to be assumed that it would "actually be that location. I did get a call later from another main office person who offered to rent me a larger truck at a still different location - however, that location was even farther away! Why would I possibly want ot pay more for a bigger truck and drive even further for it!. This all resulted in a waste of almost an hour and a half of my time not to mention the additional cost for mileage. Again, I ask you - would YOU honestly expect this service to be even marginally acceptable? I might add that I spent more than $150 purchasing boxes and other packing materials at U-Haul prior to the actual move. What a horrible experience to be notified of this the day before a move. I don't expect a response from you. I can't imagine anyone at corporate U-Haul even cares. Again - this is NOT the fault of the Mazomanie Ace Store - they were great.

I was supposed to pick up in Madison, and at the last second the company redirected me to a town fifteen miles away. I needed a ride and it was hard to find one to take me out there. For this reason, a corporate decision, I won’t use U-Haul again.
