Our original reservation was the Loop 286 location. The truck was not set up for 24/7 pickup as requested. We reserved a 7 am pickup and arrived at 6:30 am. We had to change locations to Scottie's. The lock on the cargo area was stuck and would not open initially, which required a second call to the company. Finally got the vehicle running at 8 am. We had arranged for a friend to assist moving the heavy furniture pieces from 7:15 am until 9 am, at which time, he had to leave. Obviously, this set us back an hour with only one hour of help instead of two. The phone assistance both times were very helpful and I appreciated not having to wait until 9 am for the Loop location to open. The lock issue can easily be resolved by replacing that particular lock, but is frustrating when you expect something to take a few minutes, but instead, took 30.

Maintain the equipment TD9021K. The first car hauler ratchet mechanism was so rusted it didn't operate properly! Also the electric trailer connection was damaged (cut on plug). Told the attendant and he said come back at 4PM. Returned and hooked up the the 2nd car hauler TD0084K. While driving (Empty hauler) noticed loud metal clanking and honking from passing cars and when I pulled over the ramp had fallen out because the spring pin was loose and held together with a wire. I reattached with a wire and used tie down strap to secure it! So the location and service was good, but the car hauler equipment noted above needs maintenance immediately before being rented out again.

Clarify the location. I went to the address and I couldn't find the door. I went to gas station to ask where the U-Haul is and they told me it was inside the gas station. That was unexpected. Not a deal breaker, but I wish I knew beforehand. The attendant was great, friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful.

Just average, but not her fault. Since the information was put in wrong at pick up she could not find the reservation or contract. But she kept us there an hour while my parents, who are 88 and 90 sat in a car. Acting like we couldn't drop it off. The whole thing was a mess from the start. Felt sorry for her. But also feel we should not have been charged $66.00 higher than our reservation quote. Bad on you U Haul
