To whom it may concern, I am writing to formally dispute the fuel-related charges on my recent U-Haul rental from the GLOBE OIL location (2741 S TOWNE AV, POMONA) on April 27, 2026. I was charged a $30.00 Fuel Service Fee and an additional $30.00 for 4 gallons of fuel. According to the receipt, my starting mileage was 5641.0 and my ending mileage was 5649.0, meaning I only drove a total of 8 miles. Charging for 4 gallons of fuel for an 8-mile trip implies a fuel efficiency of only 2 miles per gallon, which is logically impossible for this vehicle under any normal driving conditions. It is highly likely that either the initial fuel level was recorded incorrectly at pickup or there was an error in reading the fuel gauge at drop-off. Given the extremely short distance traveled, I request a review of these charges and a refund of the $60.00 in fuel-related fees. I look forward to your prompt response regarding this adjustment.
