I have used U-Haul many times over the past few years. But, by far, this was the worst experience so far. The brand new 26’ truck was beautiful and drove like a champ. The truck only had 400 miles on it when we picked it up. We drove 100+ miles in this truck and had no problems. However, the inside of the truck cab was dirty, with dry tobacco leaves all over the dashboard. The truck was backed up to some very large rocks, was parked in rather deep mud, and was inaccessible to us before we pulled it out onto the roadway. The floor in the back of the truck was dirty, and there was some trash back there as well. Finally, the app and the web version on the U-Haul site were not working properly, so I couldn't check out the truck on my own. Thankfully, the business was open at the time, and they were able to process my pick-up. It seems Neighborhood Dealers are not truly vested in pursuing excellence in their handling of U-Haul property/services.

Make it aware of any and all payments necessary to rent a truck. I did the online setup to rent a 15ft truck and the uhaul site told me all that I'd needed to have on the day of my rental was $50 and on the day I went to pick up the truck I was then told I'd have to have an additional $50 for the deposit which wasn't a problem, but would have liked to have known beforehand. The company I picked up the truck were awesome and very helpful. I tip my hat to them

Edward KProper communication and planning. My pickup time changed 2 diffrent times wasting 6 hrs that I could have used packing a trailer. Was told the pickup client would meet me at trailer for pickup, that never happend. We had to go inside and never received any help for hookup or checking out of vehicle. We had to move 2 other trailers out of the way just for us to get the trailer we needed as well. Misrible experiance overall. I'm amazed this is even a professional company as big as it is for how poorly this went on Uhauls end. I will not be recommending them to any friends or family unless they want there moving experiance twice as stressful as it already is.
