I arrived at 5:10 PM to return the truck, well before the posted 5:30 PM closing time. The employee told me he had already closed down the computer and instructed me to park the truck and leave the key in the drop box. I specifically asked if there was anything else he needed from me, hoping he would inspect the truck while I was still there. The truck was returned empty and clean. The next day, I was surprised to see an additional $25 cleaning charge. I called the office to ask about the charge, but no one answered, so I left a message. Unfortunately, my call was never returned. I’m disappointed because I made the effort to return the truck before closing and gave the employee the opportunity to inspect it with me. If there was supposedly a cleaning issue, I would have appreciated being shown the issue at the time of return rather than being charged afterward with no explanation and no response to my call.
