The guy at the counter was fantastic. A weird situation came up in the UHaul system that he hadn’t handled before and even though he couldn’t reach his manager he was super helpful and got the problem resolved. Took longer than I would have liked, but when you have excellent customer support it makes all the difference.

How U-Haul Reviews WorkWhen I got in the truck the gas tank below 1/4 tank and then when I took off it went to Empty. I brought up the 1/4 to to the person at the front and they said "That's how it was brought back, so when you bring it back just make sure it's at that same level" I had to stop and get gas immediately after I left the Uhaul so I didn't run out.

Jason REverything (except one thing) was great. Helpful, friendly staff, good service. The van was clean and worked great. Except no one told us how the gas refill charge worked. The moving van was nearly empty, below 1/8. Apparently, (as I just found out) you will be charged a $30 fee plus 4 gallons if you return the truck with less than 1/4 tank. I returned it with (I’m told by your customer service; I didn’t take pictures.) that I returned the truck with slightly less gas that it had when I picked it up. So I was charged $30 fee plus cost of four gallons of gas, or about $50.00. It would be helpful if the teams made sure the customers know how this charge works. it went from a good deal in my mind, to a sort of annoying ok deal….
John WU-haul changed the pick-up location from the location I selected on my reservation to a location across the city. This has changed happened the day before my scheduled pick-up and is a HUGE deterrent from using U-haul services in the future.
