Wonderful experience! I made reservation weeks in advance for a trailer but found out the day prior the trailer they had reserved for me was returned damage. U-haul in turn rented me a truck with free mileage for the work I had to accomplish that day. They are the best, well at least here in Virginia. New York, that’s a different story.

Bottom line: employee did not know how to test electrical harness causing a huge amount of stress the day of pick up. Went in person to make a trailer reservation about 3 weeks before a cross-country trip to Texas. At the time of the reservation I also had them inspect my trailer electrical harness, which the employee that checked it said it was good. When I went to pick up the trailer the day of my trip, they tested the harness again and now it didn’t work. I saw the original employee test it and it was giving the same result as the time of the original inspection. I had to run around across three different towns to get the harness replaced... something I could’ve easily done in the three weeks before my trip.

If you have an allowable rental of say 4 days and you bring it back early say after 2 days, turn the 2 early days into a mileage credit.

I dropped the tailgate and put a scratch that is the same as a door ding. I made the mistake of being honest and told the person who picked up the truck that I did . I got charged 150 dollars for a scratch that will cost literally 4 dollars for white touch up paint at advanced auto.But they did give me piece of mind thaqt after the vig Im no longer be liable,l...LOL. When I asked to go back and take a picture of the truck the manager came out and said its not her fault because its all leased and she has no recourse. She told me to dispute, I told her she is a thief and I dont have time to get my money back. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TO RENT FROM THIS LOCATION. Ive used Uhaul in the past and may again but not from these crooks.
