In the end, it ended up being just fine and a great experience, but it felt like it had every opportunity to fail badly. First, I couldn't get the 10' truck I reserved at the convenient place I reserved it, so was offered another location >30mi away in the opposite direction. That was no good, so then offered this location with a larger 15' truck. This location was also 30mi away but was at least on my way (matched price of the smaller truck and gave me an extra 60 miles for the inconvenience). When I arrived, the people responsible for U-Haul service were not on site. A lady at a convenient store on property gave me a number to call, the owner answered and said someone would call me right back to help. Someone did call right back and walked me through everything over the phone. It all worked out fine, but not the way I would have preferred to check out.

Original Reservation was made 3 weeks prior-closest location U-Haul could find the equipment we needed. Days before we called to confirm and told U-Haul had cancelled the reservation. After a search U-Haul found us another location to pick it up. We had to make new travel arrangements to pick it up on time. We’re not told we needed an adapter for the power plug. Since this was not a physical location had to go to a hardware store to purchase one.
Larry CJust that uhaul change their policy, check date on their tires on the equipment periodically to insure no blow outs occur during rental. I had a blow out during my rental and date on the tire was 2022.
