Of course the survey wants to know about the location instead of the experience. I'm not giving you a good rating because the overall experience was terrible and you don't get to bypass that. When you don't have competition you think you can get away with anything you want, and I don't agree with that.

The rep who was working on July 1st, at the esso location on 390 Dawson road in Winnipeg Manitoba was terrible. My reservation was for 8:30am pickup. I arrived to find out the store was closed, and had to wait for an hour for him to arrive to open up the store. He supposedly forgot his key… He then proceeded to help about 6 other people prior to helping me get my 10’ cube van. I was extremely disappointed in the service he provided. I had folks waiting for me to help me with my move and had to make them all wait for me. I also had to rush moving due to getting the uhaul so late. On top of all of this, whoever was working (I didn’t get his name) was unfriendly, unprofessional, made me feel stupid when I was asking a question to clarify my reservation. I would recommend looking into this employee as I’m sure you are not wanting to keep someone representing your company in the way he was. If I could rate 0/5 stars I would. Thanks for your consideration.
Kenneth TVery disappointing experience with U-Haul. On June 22, I booked a 15’ truck online for pickup on June 27. I specifically chose this truck size because I was moving from Winnipeg to Somerset (about 150 km one way), and I also selected a return location in Morden to save money and avoid unnecessary driving. However, on June 26, just one day before pickup, U-Haul called me and said the 15’ truck I reserved was no longer available and only a 10’ truck was available instead. This was extremely frustrating because when I made the reservation several days earlier, there were already very limited 15’ truck options available in Winnipeg, and I carefully selected one of the few available locations. I don’t understand how a confirmed reservation can simply not be honored. The 10’ truck turned out to be too small, which forced me to make two trips instead of one. Instead of driving approximately 300 km total, I ended up driving about 600 km. This caused: * extra fuel costs * extra mileage charges * extra time and stress during an already exhausting move To make things worse, I was also told I had to return the truck to Winnipeg instead of Morden as originally planned. The whole reason for booking online is to reserve the truck size and route you actually need. If U-Haul cannot guarantee confirmed reservations, that should be made clear upfront. Because of this experience, I spent significantly more money and time than expected. I believe compensation is appropriate for the additional costs caused by U-Haul’s failure to honor my confirmed reservation, including extra fuel, mileage, and time. I hope U-Haul will take responsibility for this situation and address it fairly.
Vadym SExcellent service
wisal iI would make sure there’s a proper inspection sticker on the trailer and I would do a walkabout with the customer when I was there. I just saw one guy dropped the trailer off dropped it on the ground really hard and then I was the one that had to use that trailer, no one did a walk around with me. They only took a picture of the hitch and made sure I had it hooked up correctly, but overall, the staff was very friendly.
