The booking process itself when picking up the truck was horrible. I didn’t expect to have to take a bunch of photos in the pouring rain or go across the street to pick up the key etc. added way more time to pickup. The truck was in rough shape. Abs and traction control lights flashing when barely even touching the gas. Squeaky brakes. Very rough ride. And then the drop off process. Okay- but the guy at Alton home lumber was a little rude when telling us we shouldn’t have parked the truck where we did due to it being dangerous for his guys- yet there was absolutely no instructions on where to park the truck either on the app or at the location. 2 out of 10 experience overall. I would not rent a u haul again in the future due to this experience.

Dianne CThe location I was scheduled to pick up the U-Haul from could not process my order on the computer as a U-Haul website was down. After an extended length of time, the U-Haul representative called on the phone to process the order. Then the vehicle I was scheduled to use had a check engine light so they could not let me take that vehicle. The only other vehicle on the lot of equivalent size also had a check engine light. Therefore I was rerouted a half hour away to another U-Haul, which was self-serve I could not find the keys for the U-Haul at the self serve as the location called for was not where the keys were kept. They were kept across the street on a different building from what I was being told then the U-Haul app would not upload the photos of the vehicle as required by the pick up procedure. This was a very disappointing process.
