It took me almost 2 hours to check out the truck using the app because my license had just expired and the new one had not arrived yet, and despite the fact I had a document saying I had a valid drivers license the app would not let me use that, or my valid military ID. No one was on site (closed at 2pm that day and my reservation was for 2:30) and had to wait on hold with customer service for 30 minutes to try to add another driver to my reservation. My debit card was charged twice and still didn’t go thru so I had to use an additional credit card (essentially paying for this rental 3 times) and I was required to provide 2 different witnesses to vouch for my alternate driver. What should have been a 5 minute process took me 2 hours and 3 times as much money as I should have had to pay. I am incredibly disappointed with this experience (other than the customer service representative who was helpful and patient) and I will never be using U-Haul again nor will I recommend anyone to use it.

When we first got there to check in a lady pulled up (assuming she worked there) and asked "are you bringing the truck back here or another city?" To which i responded "another city" and she clearly didn't like that answer because she just rolled her eyes. Then when we finally figured out all the mobile check in and got the truck the check engine light was on. We let uhaul know and then they transferred us to another customer service rep to which i told them it was on and then they told me just to tell the uhaul place we were returning the truck to.

Matthew BCustomer engagement very limited. Rental was not checked well or clean. Truck decent but after accepted rental found blood in the truck on both seats & driver seat belt. Have pics. Staff offered a few cleaning wipes to clean it up.
