U-Haul's phone system rerouted my call to a different location than the one I called. That caused a pick-up delay, but it was worked out. They need to fix that. It is VERY annoying and unprofessional. I rate this location and its personnel highly but not U-Haul's performance on my pick-up day.

Don't assume customer wants to pay for the $14 insurance coverage. I did not want this and dis not see that I was charge for it until after I returned the vehicle. I will no longer use UHaul.

There was a homemade pipe inside the pick-up. The truck was stinky. However, overall the pickup was fine.

Manager at this location would not let us use online pickup. We arrived and were looking for the truck per the checkout instructions and the owner accosted my wife, who was waiting in the car while I walked the lot, very aggressively declaring “can I help you!” obviously intending to drive a trespasser off. I’m not sure what illicited this, given two upper middle-class customers on the lot driving a late model BMW, but the rudeness persisted for the first part of our mandatory in-person checkout too. After handling a phone call the interrupted the process he seemed to calm down and our transaction was successful. I asked if I could use the online checkout and he said “not during hours when we’re open” which was unexpected given the u-haul.com promise of “no human interaction” (this was certainly a human I would have rather NOT interacted with). I’ll never go back to this location and would strongly encourage friends and family to avoid it as well. Makes me want to pay 3x for Budget trucks.

not a busy place. Employee should have walked with customer to vehicle and made sure all vehicle functions were understood e.g. how to turn on cargo light what the yellow trailer light on dash signifies how to adjust mirrors & seats, how to unlatch and latch rear door.

Felt like I was walking into a startup in LA. In addition, no hours are posted on the door. I mentioned I needed a dolly, but no one mentioned the truck I was renting didn't have a ramp, so the dolly was useless. When I showed up to return the truck on a Saturday afternoon the business was closed. It wasn't even 4:00 pm yet. I had to return the truck myself via the app, however returning the key was impossible because the location doesn't have a key return box, even though the "return after hours" sign is displayed in the window. Because I couldn't return the key and no locks are provided, and I wasn't going to drive the truck home at a $1 a mile, I had to lift the dolly up into the cabin to make sure It wouldn't be stolen overnight. Very poor experience. I won't be back to this location.

To begin, I actually picked up the truck at the Juan Tabo location. I went through online and put in my info as well as my drivers license. The system would not recognize my ID and kept saying it needed to be “updated” in the system. I had to call customer service and I talked to a first person who was not able to help me. I was transferred to a second who (from my understanding) had to seek help from someone else.. I was put on hold for about 10-15 minutes. This was almost a 30 minute phone call, time that I had to wait to see what we could do about this issue. In the end, we had to start from scratch via the telephone and give all my info once again. It was a very unpleasant experience and I had to wait and also the people I had hired to help with the move, had to wait and I still had to pay them for that time they waited for me. The truck was in good conditions but on my way to return the truck, the check engine light turned on. I’m very dissatisfied with these services and if someone would like to contact me about getting a refund, I would really appreciate it. Otherwise, I would not recommend U-haul whatsoever. Thank you.
