This isn’t exactly an indictment on this location as it is on U-Haul as a whole. I originally booked the Gulf location for a Sunday pickup. I was called by U-Haul customer service on Saturday as I was driving from Florida to Asheville to move my daughter on Sunday. The woman said there were no 15’ trucks available and asked if I would be ok with Weaverville which is 4 miles away, I agreed but it was a location I’d have to use the app to get a vehicle. I arrived on Sunday at 9 am, the app would not work, blank screens, app shutdown down and the wait for customer service to U-Haul was 50 mins. The location at Weaverville was not open so nobody was answering their phone. I went to the Gulf location at 10 am, there were 7 people in line in front of me. While in line I made a new reservation using the Gulf location and was able to get a truck an hour later. This was an AWFUL experience!!!!! I spoke to many people in line that echoed the same issues when using U-Haul, the app and had the same terrible customer service experience.

Richard was great we called in advance to make sure they were open and had what we needed. We then proceeded to their location. They were available when we arrived and made everything simple. Great place Sandy and Steve This was not the case with the location at Monticello . That man didn't answer the phone or return any voice messages. We went there first but glad we found Allen'sGulf instead.
