I was unable to use the truck I rented and paid for. There was no way for me to access the keys when I arrived. Then there was no one able to help me due to the holiday. If a place is closed on Christmas then do not allow bookings under the guise of “self service”. If I can not complete the process myself then do not sell me the service.

Streamline return process
RICHARD DI give MIDGARD Self Storage a HIGH rating. THEY were GREAT. The SATURDAY 10/31/2025 service REP was AMAZING. She was SOOOOO HELPFUL. Uhaul.... not so much. The system screwed up SEVERAL times as we tried to complete the rental. It took over 30 minutes to get through all the MUCK. Could not get the system on THEIR end to acknowledge receipt of the scans of the front AND especially the BACK of the Driver's Licenses. On OUR end it said that it had gone through SUCCESSFULLY... On THEIR end, it said that the backside did not scan. I must have taken 20+ photos of the rental truck to submit and... it was a no go on the first 12 submissions. What a PAIN! The last time I rented at a different location, the system was having issues as well. There were humans PRESENT and they got me through it. It also took ~~20+ minutes that time. Hey UHAUL... get your system UPGRADED. When you do it, do it in the middle of the night so it does not cause issues to the renters or those trying to help us through it!!! I hate to be TERSE, but it was VERY frustrating. VERY!!

Nia SWe returned the truck earlier than the 24 hour period reserved but when using the app to return the truck, it only came back with instructions to park it, remove our belongings, and put the key in the key box. I have rented a U-Haul before and I knew there should be more to the return process, including taking pictures of the truck, but the app did not provide that. Later we got a call from someone stating that we took the truck "too far" from our dropoff location. I assured the representative that we left the truck at the place we indicated on our reservation. The app does not work correctly, even though it is crucial for a self service rental.
